Donnerhall is one of the world's best known dressage horses with numerous number 1 placings in Grand Prix Dressage. He was crowned German Champion in 1994. While competing extensively from 1990-1998, Donnerhall remained the third highest ranking breeding stallion in the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses. He is the sire of 35 approved stallions and about 30 premium mares. In 1997, Donnerhall had a Dressage index of 159, which placed him 5th in his age group. At the same time, 23 of his offspring were competing in the upper levels in Dressage.
